SSUP EU launches 3rd edition of the Student Developer Contest

The teams of PhD, Master, and Bachelor students from ETH Zürich, The University of Liverpool, and Manchester Metropolitan University are now invited to submit their applications for what will be the 3rd edition of the Student Developer Contest. Tiny Machine Learning on Sony Spresense competition aims to encourage innovative ideas around smart wireless sensors, as well as create new use cases and applications for Sony Spresense.

By May 15th, it will be announced if students’ applications have been accepted. Those successful will be invited to work on a preliminary demo and presentation until July 31st. The organizing committee will evaluate the proposals based on scientific excellence, novelty, potential impact, and quality of the planned demo. The finalists will be announced in a final event that shall take place in September, at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK.

The contest is organized jointly by the D-ITET Center for Project Based Learning (PBL), The University of Liverpool, Manchester Metropolitan University, and sponsored by the Sony Semiconductor Solutions Group. These universities are part of the Sensing Solution University Collaboration Program (SSUP), and each works with Spresense on developing innovative solutions with societal applications.
