Visual intelligence for edge computing

The SDK for the ARM Cortex-A9 processor based on a Yocto project contains U-Boot, a Linux kernel, device drivers and libraries, and the SensCord library. SensCord is an original interface designed by Sony to enable easy access to sensing functions.

The SDK for Vision P6 DSP provides comprehensive vision software development solutions such as a neural network compiler, OpenCL, Halide, C/C++, OpenVX, and an OpenCV-based imaging library. The neural network compiler enables developers to convert neural network models to highly optimized DSP code automatically. Caffe and TensorFlow frameworks are already supported by the compiler.

The Vision Sensing Processor can connect up to five stereo cameras, three ToF cameras, and five IMU inputs.

System example of Vision Sensing Processor

The Vision Sensing Processor can connect up to five stereo cameras, three ToF cameras and five IMU inputs. It is designed to be very versatile and can be used for a diverse set of implementation areas such as:

  • Industrial robot
  • Drone
  • Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV)
  • Factory automation, and much more.
