New swim goggle solution using augmented reality

Using the LMX-001 holographic waveguide display from Sony, the team at The Imagination Factory in the UK has developed the world’s first swim goggles solution with a holographic display. The solution is called SwimAR and it attaches to regular goggles.

SwimAR provides the swimmer with training data in real-time such as time, distance, countdown clock, splits etc., with no need to stop and check watches or wall clocks.  You can also compete against a virtual swimmer configured with a target pace, driving you to power through and improve your times.

The Imagination Factory plans to manufacture a small batch of SwimAR in 2018/19. If you’re interested in knowing more about SwimAR availability, take a look at their website and sign up here for updates.
